FastLap was born from a gap in the market and a passion for motorsports that's been running in Charlotte's veins for decades.

The origin story

A few years ago I was driving around Charlotte looking for somewhere to sim-race. Not arcade machines — real immersive simulator setups with proper wheels, pedals, and screens.

I couldn't find anything.

What I did find was a line of people at the Micro Center in Charlotte, mid-week, middle of the day, waiting to try the floor-model sim rigs. Charlotte — arguably the home of American racing — and there was nowhere to actually experience it without getting behind a real race car — something inaccessible to most people.

I'd spent years in the car scene, taking my Supra to shows across the Carolinas. I already had the community and the passion. So in July 2025 I had the idea, and by November we launched FastLap.

I built the business I wished had existed when I was looking for it.
